Direct Radiology, LLC, (“DR”) a national physician-owned and operated teleradiology partnership, reports sustained growth for the first two quarters of 2013. DR has seen monthly read volumes increase by 40% between January and July of 2013, increasing from approximately 12,500 cases in January to over 17,600 cases in June.
Lawrence Bub, M.D. a neuroradiologist, one of DR’s three principals and founding partners comments, “We have added 30 new facilities over the past six months, and our case volumes have increased consistently. But the numbers are less important than the reasons behind them, which are our focus on quality reports, fast turn-around times, and being available and responsive to our referring clinicians.”
“Over the first six months of 2013, our average turn-around time was less than 22 minutes with a monthly variation of only 2-3 minutes one way or the other,” added Kyle Henneberry, M.D., another principal and founding partner. “Our discrepancy rate has remained very low as well. We have carefully managed our growth from the outset and will continue this proven method into the future.”
The company has recently hired three new full-time radiologists and nine full-time support staff, and projects continued strong growth for the remainder of 2013.
