When Direct Radiology was founded in 2012, its mission was clear: provide all customers with high quality 24/7/365 teleradiology services and support by focusing on relationship building and mutual trust. From radiology departments within large IDN hospitals to smaller imaging centers, we personalize teleradiology by individually addressing each customer’s needs to ensure we are providing the highest quality interpretations, comprehensive customer support and prompt physician accessibility. As a result of our ongoing commitment to quality and exemplary customer service, Coeur d’Alene Ultrasound, a family-run imaging center operating in Coeur d’Alene, ID since 2015, knew we were the ideal partner to provide reading services in support of their business.
Travis Armstrong (RDMS) and Trina Armstrong (RDMS), founders of Coeur d’Alene Ultrasound, met while working as medical sonographers in Boston, at the Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2001. Upon getting married, they moved to Travis’ hometown of San Diego and started their first business by contracting for their ultrasound imaging services. In 2015, they moved their young family to Coeur d’Alene, ID. Their sincere desire was to serve the local community to the best of their ability while maximizing the opportunity to raise their son and daughter in beautiful North Idaho. Their hesitation was founded in not knowing if they could compete with larger-scale hospitals and imaging centers in the area, as many smaller healthcare providers had previously started and were soon absorbed by larger providers. Hearing directly from residents in their community that there was a strong need for an independent, family-oriented ultrasound provider, Travis and Trina moved forward but knew that if they were to be successful they would need to find a reading services partner sharing the same ideals and commitment to quality that they had.
After meeting with several different teleradiology vendors, in June 2016 Travis and Trina decided to move forward with Direct Radiology for their reading needs. “There are three important aspects to our business: QUALITY, competitive pricing, and spectacular customer service – Direct Radiology more than met all of these needs. It’s truly been one positive experience after another. We’re so thankful to be partnered with these folks who are top-notch and leading the industry – we’d be lost without them,” said Travis. Being incredibly happy with their experience for the past four years, both Travis and Trina were delighted to hear that Direct Radiology now offers Breast Imaging Services. “It’s really exciting, and absolutely the right thing to do. It’s another example of their forward-thinking. Direct Radiology and [their partner] Philips are on the right side of history with their innovative perspective towards breast imaging,” said Trina Armstrong. Coeur d’Alene Ultrasound continues to find success with its patients and we look forward to continuing to support their remote reading needs as a valued partner for years to come.
